Knicks travel south to face Hornets

The New York Knicks travel to New Orleans to take on the New Orleans Hornets. The Knicks are 7-1 SU on the season as well as ATS, while the Hornets are 3-5 SU and have a 5-2 ATS mark. New York was undefeated after its first six games, before losing last Friday, but bounced back with a win on Sunday. The Hornets started their season 3-2, but have lost their last three straight games.

The Green Bay Packers will be one man short from their dynamic passing offense this season after wide out Donald Driver opted for retirement on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Mike & Mike in the Morning.

The Philadelphia 76ers are eagerly awaiting the return of their dynamic super star Andrew Bynum and recent reports indicate that the 7-foot-1 center could return in the first game after the All-Star break, according to USA Today’s Jason Wolf.
“I talked about that for a little while,” Bynum said Monday. “To me, it doesn’t really matter when I come back. I think, giving myself a full ‘nother week of training is going to be better than trying to come back before that.”

After a lengthy spat between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Justin Upton, the team finally traded the two-time All-Star to the Atlanta Braves in a seven-player trade on Thursday. The acquisition reunites Justin with older brother B.J. in the Braves outfield, marking the only active brothers to be playing on the same team.
The trade, which was originally reported by MLB.com’s Mark Bowman, is still under finalization pending physicals. The Braves will also take over the remaining three-year, $38.5 million contract that is left over from Upton’s original deal with the Diamondbacks.

The Los Angeles Lakers are a fragile bunch. The team added Dwight Howard to its already extensive injury list this season.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Howard will have his right shoulder examined by team doctors on Thursday, but initial reports indicate that the injury is “not very serious.” The 7-foot-1 center injured his shoulder during the Lakers’ 106-93 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
